Sovereign Taekwondo Organisation began its journey in 2015 through North Wilts Tae Kwon Do, aimed at elevating Taekwondo training standards within the community.

Her promotion recognises not only her personal progression, but also her continued role in teaching, leadership, and supporting the development of Taekwondo at both national and international levels.

2017 Grading Success – Leanne and Paul Lolley

This photograph captures a significant moment in the Taekwondo journey of Mrs Leanne Lolley and Mr Paul Lolley during the October 2017 grading, held under the close inspection of Grandmaster Paul Liversidge, a 9th Degree Grandmaster with over 50 years of Taekwondo experience.

At this demanding three-hour grading, Mrs Leanne Lolley was promoted to 4th Degree, while Mr Paul Lolley achieved 5th Degree, following rigorous testing that included floor work, tuls (patterns), self-defence, applied techniques, set sparring, protective sparring, and destruction. Their success reflected not only technical ability, but also perseverance, discipline, and a deep understanding of the art.

Sovereign TKD Hosting Taekwondo Council UK Instructor Seminar

Sovereign Taekwondo Organisation proudly hosted a Taekwondo Council UK Instructor Seminar, welcoming instructors from across the UK for a day of professional development, technical training, and shared learning.

The seminar provided an opportunity for instructors to enhance their knowledge, refine technical standards, and engage with best practice in teaching, safeguarding, and instructor development. Hosting this event reflects Sovereign TKD’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards, continuous learning, and supporting the wider Taekwondo community.

Supporting the Wider TKD Community – October 2025 Grading

Sovereign Taekwondo Organisation is always keen to support and assist other clubs, helping to uphold high standards and encourage positive development across the Taekwondo community.

In October 2025, Sovereign supported a Taekwondo grading, with Master Paul O’Leary attending as an additional grading examiner alongside Mr Paul Lolley and Mrs Leanne Lolley. The grading was conducted with professionalism, fairness, and a strong focus on supporting each candidate’s continued progress.

During the event, Mr Pete Scotcher from Isle of Wight TKD was successfully awarded his next degree grade, marking an important milestone in his Taekwondo journey.

This event reflects Sovereign’s commitment to collaboration, integrity, and the shared growth of Taekwondo across clubs and regions.

Paul Lolley Awarded 6th Degree Taekwondo – 2022

Mr Paul Lolley is pictured receiving his 6th Degree Taekwondo promotion in 2022 from the International Taekwondo Council (ITC). This prestigious promotion recognises his extensive experience, technical excellence, and long-standing commitment to teaching and developing Taekwondo.

Achieving 6th Degree represents a significant milestone, reflecting years of dedication to personal training, instructor development, and service to the wider Taekwondo community.

Training with Master Jaroslaw Suśka

Mr Paul Lolley and Mrs Leanne Lolley are pictured training with Master Jaroslaw Suska (VII Dan), one of the most accomplished and respected technical practitioners in the history of Taekwon-Do.

Master Suśka is a 20-time international-level competitor, a six-time Individual World Champion in patterns, and a European Champion, achievements that place him among the elite technical exponents of Taekwon-Do worldwide. He is widely regarded as the finest technical practitioner in Polish Taekwon-Do history, and by many as one of the greatest overall technicians in the art.

Training with Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha

Mr Paul Lolley and Mrs Leanne Lolley had the opportunity to train with Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha, one of the most influential figures in the history of Taekwon-Do.

Grandmaster Rhee Ki Ha was a 9th Degree Black Belt, a direct student of General Choi Hong Hi, and is widely recognised as the pioneer who introduced and established Taekwon-Do in the United Kingdom and much of Europe. His technical knowledge, traditional approach, and emphasis on discipline and patterns shaped generations of practitioners worldwide.

Also pictured are Grandmaster Cutler and Grandmaster O’Neil, both highly respected senior figures within the Taekwon-Do community. Training in the presence of such senior masters represents a rare and valuable experience, reflecting the strong lineage and traditional foundations behind Sovereign TKD.

This opportunity highlights Mr and Mrs Lolley’s continued commitment to learning from the highest levels of Taekwon-Do and preserving the art’s history, standards, and technical excellence within the Sovereign Taekwondo Organisation.

Training with Master Willie Lim

Mrs Leanne Lolley is pictured training with Master Willie Lim, a globally respected authority with over six decades of martial arts experience and a leading figure in the practical application of traditional martial arts techniques.

Master Lim is widely recognised for his modern interpretation of forms and patterns (katas and tuls), redefining how traditional movements are understood by breaking them down into realistic and effective self-defence applications. Raised in an era of structured, traditional training, he developed a deep respect for classical martial arts while refining an approach focused on adaptability and functional movement.

Training with Master Lim provided Mrs Lolley with invaluable insight into the practical application of technique, reinforcing her commitment to continuous learning and ensuring high-quality instruction within the Sovereign Taekwondo Organisation.
